Twilight

Bring out through tremulous story
those areas of matter
where the sun is least.
A beacon nearby hidden.
For to go far away
a road has left
in rasps and twangs
into separative night.
A bird from rubble makes
with whimsical silver meek and light.
Wetted ivy porticoes
and lensing lanes
like running water.
I would choose a star
that began with the sky
that was I.
