I, never in a million thoughts, thought about writing one...
but my sister challenged me to the task.
So I said, "Okay, Lord, I need a football poem...Help!" Keeping a sense of humor,
I kept it light and tried to be funny...but Shirley is a "screaming at the TV" Saints fan...
this normally quiet and reserved relative of mine is a "nut case" with this...and, like me,
held no real interest in football until the Saints won the championship...now she is overboard!!!
Anyway, it was fun putting together...I enjoyed searching for the pictures, graphics, etc.
And I am from Louisiana, so thumbs up for the Saints!! Hope you football fans
(even if you're not for the Saints) will enjoy this write! :)

Now into it i'll chime....
This Sister Rocks®
YEAH she can rock and roll
with the rest of them,
and how ironic it's Saints that stole
her heart then!
But in a way
she twists cause her knickers in a bunch,
on that day
she saw the Saints and had a hunch!
It stuck in her craw
and she got the itch,
by what she saw
it made her come alive and twitch!

I wish i had a blood sister
like that to really RELATE to,
instead i have a blister
from beaten black and blue!
But i got sisters in poetry
not related in blood but no matter,
they're still family
and make my heart go pitter patter!
Precious Faron always said
it's nothing you do,
don't let them make you see red
cause they don't appreciate you!
But no fumble here
it's a touchdown,
this blood family will mirror
a smile when there seems to be a frown!
Cause Our Doris Has This Full Blood Sis
and to her she's a gem,
and she's got 1 she'll always miss
cause she's in Heaven with them....Other Saints!
