two sides
how do I embrace
two sides to one coin
two-headed coin
surely has a confusing
double standard
don't know which side will land
and what the
results might be
good/bad
monstrous/compassionate
generous/suspicious
abandoning/loyal
true/fickle
recuser/confidant
harbor/beast
where does one side
begin, the other cease
release
does not seem possible
the coin spin
top-like on its side
leaving me to guess or
at times be frightened
I've been acquainted
with so many coins
they should have been
my en-lighteners
but I have yet to be
enlightened myself.

I use a partially made-up word from
recuse, which means to literally excuse oneself from.
