KILT IN THAT SCOTTISH PLACE
Young Bess and Bruce MacDonald
Abided by shores of Loch Ness
In a tiny Scottish cottage,
A place often found a mess.
"Bess, Bess, this house's a mess,
When will you start to clean?"
"I'll do it when I'm ready--
Shut up and don't be mean."
But Bruce would not be quiet
As he turned 'round to depart,
He nagged and nagged once more,
So Bess stabbed him in his heart.
Aloud she cried, "My man has died,
My favorite man I've kilt!
Now that he's dead, no longer wed,
A widow's life I've built!"
Stones weighted down his body
Before young Bess pushed it in,
And Bess thought up a story
To hide truth of mortal sin.
She told of a monster, Nessie,
A huge resident of Loch Ness,
Who swallowed down her husband--
What a lie she did confess!
Bess, to honor request of Bruce,
Then kept her cottage so neat
Even Bruce would have praised her,
And not been kilt as Nessie meat!
