An Autumn to Remember

When I was approximately thirteen years of age  something happened that changed my Autumn for that year.
I had gone with my family to the beach and left my shoes which were brand new on the boardwalk.
When I had remembered I went to retrieve them only to find someone had taken them.
My Autumn was changed at that moment.
For I had to wear a pair of flip flops for the greater part of Autumn.
The shoes were gone and no one had seen them at all.
I have my own ideas of who got them but he never admitted it to me.
I will always remember this Autumn for it is a part of my history.
How could anyone fit into my shoes for they were made for me?
I remember this and have grown to change how I did my clothes.
