Look World! Look At Me!

I’m heart deep in happiness…
Turned on to God and truly blessed.
I can’t believe He wanted such as me.
He filled me with the Holy Ghost.
He healed me where I hurt the most.
He shattered all my chains and set me free.

I feel so good…so overjoyed!
He’s rebuilt all that you destroyed.
He’s made a brand new person out of me.
He touched me…I fell on my face…
So awed by His Amazing Grace…
So overwhelmed by what He said I’d be!

O, I’ve become a child of God!
Protected while upon this sod…
Angels assigned to keep watch over me.
Washed by a mighty cleansing flood…
Purchased and paid for by His Blood…
Secured and sealed for all eternity!

O, I’ll admit you had me fooled…
I honestly believed you ruled.
I played your game… I lived with all your lies.
For smiles from you I schemed and slaved…
And so, like you, became depraved…
But, somehow, God above heard all my cries

So look here world! O, look at me!
I’m sure not where I used to be.
You can’t tantalize or tempt me as before.
I’ve been reprieved…I can’t allow
Your sin scuffed hand to hold mine now…
And, world, I just don’t want you anymore.

~~Dedicated to Eddie~~

Psalm 42:1
As the deer pants for streams of water so
pants my soul for you, O, God

Psalm 32:1
How happy is the one whose rebellious
acts are forgiven, whose sin is pardoned!

1 Timothy 6:11
But you, as a person dedicated to God, keep away
from all sin. Instead pursue righteousness,
 godliness, faithfulness, love, endurance,
 and gentleness.

2 Corinthians 6:17-18,
'I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons
and daughters,' says the Lord Almighty."

 John 8:34–36
Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you,
everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave
does not remain in the house forever; the son remains
forever.  So if the Son sets you free, you will be
 free indeed.

Psalm 91:9-13
Because you have made the LORD, which
is my refuge, even the most High, your habitation;
There shall no evil befall you, neither shall any
plague come nigh your dwelling. For he shall give
his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your
ways. They shall bear you up in their hands,
lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shalt
tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion
and the dragon shalt you trample under feet
