Tunnel’s End
There’s a light
Shining bright
I can see it
Distant in the night
The crazies told me it was the moon
Dealers offered spoon
Winos winked at the madman
He’ll lose it soon
My mind though saw time she fed me
Knowing I wasn’t where I should be
She ignored the shaking
Knew the outside wasn’t me
I thought about a gift
Heart to lift
Friend ignored their words
Saw inside what I missed
Time now passed I sit at night
I still see the light
Lessons in the tunnel
Have seen me right
I now know one day
I’ll be free to say
You see that distant light
Well, it’s all mine today
