The  Ax Is In Her Head

Years ago there was a nightmare I had suffered.
It was concerning my late mom who was at the time very much alive.
Was sad that one night the rain was swiftly pouring down and blinding us from looking across the street.
But there to my dad's amazement he saw a figure at the foot of the road.
Dad told me to look at the figure and I followed his eyes.
It was there I saw a sight I will never forget.
Mom was there after having been gone for over a decade.
She had her head toward the store which was behind me.
Slowly it turned and looked directly at me.
In an audible voice I heard these words--Why did you kill me?
I was horrified to say the least.
Having realized it was a nightmare I went and told Mom.
Mom, as usual, comforted me and told me it was a dream.
For me to return back to the bed and get some sleep.
The audible sound didn't leave me until 11:00 AM the next day.
Lesson?
Don't allow yourself to get tied up in a nightmare.
