A Walk Along the Calico Bridge

Years ago when I was the age of ten years I had an occasion to walk along the Calico bridge.
Was a small one and the water on either side was old and lifeless.
The seafood there wasn't suitable for consumption.
The bridge led to the graveyard shortly ahead.
I remember this happening for me when I would go along the bridge.
There was a certain joy of being alone and on my own that made me feel good about myself.
A walk along the Calico bridge was an experience I often did.
For we had to cross the bridge; in order to go to school.
Was a short walk from our home to the school yard.
Ervin, my brother and I were in the eighth grade; at the time.
Was a period of time I will always remember and fondly.
The Lord worked it out for me to enjoy this part; of my life.
