The golds and greens and olives sway
In wind of a Fall day
The trees go naked
Like a tease
Helicopters fly in the breeze
Rooster down the way he crows
While sun in the blue sky glows
Bringing warmth after wet night
Fill me with life-giving light
All this universe thus fair
Found blowing in the cool Fall air
How can not God have made this place
Where nature's beauty does replace
The darkness of the mind's control
Inside the wheel will roll
While outside
It's good and gay
God wouldn't have it any other way
To have the force of love come down
To hear the trees their rustling sound
There's more than I will ever know
There in spin of what God shows
To those who have the time to smell the flowers
This Earth this Fall day and his power
Are just enough to move you ahead
Instead of going back to bed
The death bed will come soon enough
So let the Fall colors touch
Something behind the mind that worries
Down
Down
Softly
Touching
Down
Leaves aren't in a hurry.
