The Long Way Home

When traveling to your old homeland there is a possible long way there.
I am thinking of such a place for my own home of yesteryear.
It was a long way for us to push the car my dad had to reach home when we lost the use of it.
The great thing about home was it was waiting for us when we got there.
It seemed the Lord smiled on us that morning.
For it was all sunny and brisk instead of it raining and thundering.
So we were greatly blessed.
I remember Mom got on her side of the car and was pushing with the others.
Mom didn't remain; in the car at all.
Everyone pitched in and gave it all they had.
The traveling for me is now over for I don't travel anywhere.
My parents have long time gone to Heaven and is there for all time.
My brother is on his own and doing well.
I am in a nursing home and not able to travel as I have said.
One day I will be taking a trip to Heaven as well for I am now one of His own.
No more long way home for me.
