How long since you gave a hug,
Someone you knew or did not;
A motivational tug,
For something positive sought.
How long since you gave a kiss,
Not on the lips just the cheek;
Giving a spiritual bliss,
And a day as not so bleak.
How long since you have shown love,
A type of love that you care;
The type that comes from above,
The type that shows you will share.
If you give a kiss or a hug,
More confident and secure;
The comfort felt on a rug,
Secured as a locked door.
Hugs and kisses are support,
Assured you are not alone;
And with no need to abort,
Since someone else does condone.
When someone is starting to sink,
They need to get back on track;
On the feeling on the brink,
For the confidence they lack.
We hold truth with a smile,
Because we know it is right;
And in a little while,
It is spreading its insight.
Hugs and kisses come from love,
Showing you will sacrifice;
A love that many thereof,
That confuse it with entice.
