         Before Destiny takes me!
                  Listen! Can you hear them…
softly spattering against the window pane,
drop after drop of cold,  early November rain.
Look over there! Can you see them tumbling in the wind…
whirling and gliding to mother Earth’s breast…
yellow, red, gold, and dark amber…
It’s autumn at its very best.

Sadly, autumn will soon be gone and winter
will bring its snowy storms. Short, cold blustery
days and long lonesome, frozen nights.
Black ravens, abundant in the barren trees!
oh! How I miss autumn’s colorful leaves!
I wonder, how many, more autumn leaves I’ll see…
before destiny decides takes me?
