Try Jesus
These verses came to my mind while I was singing the Christian Hymn "Try Jesus". Inspiration from God? I like to think so. Regardless, I hope you enjoy them.
I traveled down a long and lonely highway;
Disappointment loomed on every hand.
Then He wrapped his loving arms around me;
Led me to that blessed promised land.
Are you feeling burdened, heavy laden;
Bowed beneath a load of dark despair?
Trust in Him who knows your every worry;
You will find sweet peace and comfort there.
(For those unfamiliar with the song, the chorus is:
Try Jesus, He never fails,
O'er evil, His love prevails.
In sunshine, or stormy gales,
Try Jesus, He never fails.)
I traveled down a long and lonely highway;
Disappointment loomed on every hand.
Then He wrapped his loving arms around me;
Led me to that blessed promised land.
Are you feeling burdened, heavy laden;
Bowed beneath a load of dark despair?
Trust in Him who knows your every worry;
You will find sweet peace and comfort there.
(For those unfamiliar with the song, the chorus is:
Try Jesus, He never fails,
O'er evil, His love prevails.
In sunshine, or stormy gales,
Try Jesus, He never fails.)
