A force to keep what needs be kept
Upon terrain when nothings left
Of soul that wanders, a soul upset
Failure to deal, to just accept
We chase ourselves into oblivion
Losing faith, the last dominion
To shelter us if from ourselves
Place of peace placed on a shelf
Too high to reach, to hold unto
Holding to faith and Him who knew
This time would come our way again
Today our need surpasses friends
Turn our eyes from one who saved
The best for last, too long you stayed
Away from good that knows us well
Knows much more than this dry spell
Don't choke away your breath of life
Don't place your faith but in His light
For time shall come to rise from ash
From whence you where, thought as outcast
