Have you ever given thought
To the fact that Jesus died?
That there was no life left at all
In the body crucified?
Two thousand years ago
Or somewhere near that date….
But even after all this time
He’s not referred to as “the late.”
He’s never been acknowledged
As the former Jesus Christ…
Never listed as deceased…
The thought has never once sufficed.
O, He was pronounced dead…
Of this there is no doubt.
The cruel Cross claimed His blood
Until it had all flowed out.
Hell and the grave rejoiced…
Hate hailed each instigator.
But this pathetic scene was changed
Three prophetic mornings later!!
Had the enemy been clued
To this sweet sin conquering story…
It may not have been so quick
To crucify the Lord of Glory.
For this act of love released
Countless millions Satan held!
Heavy chains were cast aside!!
All the charges were dispelled!!
For whom the Son sets free
O, have been set free indeed!!
This freedom’s still available
To every single soul in need.
So, come, all you who thirst…
Who are hungry for the truth…
Drink of the living water….
Taste of The Spirit’s fruit.
There is still room at The Cross…
The invitation still stands true…
For He is the Living God!!!!
He wants to live in me and you!

Now as Jesus was going up to Jerusalem, he took
the twelve disciples aside and said to them,
"We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man
will be betrayed to the chief priests and the teachers
of the law. They will condemn him to death
and will turn him over to the Gentiles to be mocked
and flogged and crucified. On the third day he
will be raised to life!"
1 Corinthians 2:8
None of the rulers of this age understood it, for
if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said
rivers of living water will flow from within them."
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and
self-control. Against such things there is no law.
Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary
and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
