LOVE REKINDLED

I love thee maiden fair
with locks of golden hair.
Thou art lovely as a rose.

It is my wish I suppose
that my love grows.

For is it not so that a fire rekindled
burns just as well ?
Once again my desire dost swell.

My love goes back to a younger day ,
when we went about our way.
This time in love we shall forever stay.
