The Wind Lies Thru My Cries®
I used to have comfort
the wind couldn't hurt
me cause i had baby
to be
there thru the worst
of it all when it burst
thru the earth wall
we stood tall
together and fought
i was scared not
but an enemy now cause away
it took safety that worst day
and from its wrath
left cold and lonely in its path
it dares to still whisper my name
having no shame
whispering i'll never drift you to cold
what a lie it told
and it's sorry never
for being deceitfully clever
to think i'd now trust
a force most unjust
i now howl in despair
but the wind doesn't care
it made the choice
to blow away and drown out my voice
but i fight to not silence my cries
cause the heart never lies!
