Mom's In the Kitchen

The holidays are swiftly coming.
A great amount of joy is expressed by all those who are looking forward to the holidays.
I am glad to remember the times of Mom being in the kitchen.
Preparing the holiday meal and the condiments.
Joy envelopes my heart and mind in thinking of the simple times Mom had preparing the meal.
I attentively watched Mom prepare the meal and when it came my time for it I was ready.
There was an element of wonderful excitement felt with the things I was learning to do.
Merely looking at Mom was my education in the culinary arts.
Mom' s in the kitchen was said more times than I can imagine.
For this was Mom's favorite place to be.
There was a sense of home of course with this being Mom's own place of happiness.
I will remember the times when it came to be my time as well.
May the Lord be blessed for having trained me as I was.
For it is all through Him and Mom's love for me that I was able to do the things I was able to achieve.
