AN AMERICAN CHRISTMAS TREE

I love my tree
From by Indian Lake
It's lights they plea
For me not to take
It down to have the Winter Dark
Keep it around red white and blue
It's here to mark
What my forefather knew
For USA, my America the Beautiful
For all the way
To across the world they're dutiful
I'll obey at home
Remember those at war
For the land where the buffalo once roamed
To the place where the eagles still soar.
