A Child's Expectancy of Christmas

When but a child, there was a time of expectancy concerning Christmas.
I was all a wonder of the presents under the tree and the tree itself.
Why the tree?
Because it was so warm and loving to ponder the tree being in the house.
The presents were for my brother and myself.
For Mom and Dad didn't receive anything until my brother and I had began to work.
There was a certain expectancy of the holidays as they grew closer.
What will the day bring?
Who would be coming to see us?
Many questions were; in my mind.
The expectancy was all for the better and was a happy time for my brother and myself.
Joy enveloped us in its embrace with the happiness we both felt; during the time.
The Lord was so very good to us as while we were yet children.
He made the provisions for us to have a stable home life and love all around.
This is the memories of my childhood and the expectancy of a greater time.
