The Happiest Thanksgiving Day Remembered

I recall it was when my brother and I were in the sixth grade.
There was a great year for my dad at work and he had been given a turkey for the holiday.
One of the great memories was when Mom was adding the stuffing to the turkey.
Mom added a can of oysters to the stuffing she put inside the turkey.
All the condiments were there; on the table.
The collard greens and the cranberry sauce plus the other things to make the meal a delight were present.
It was a great day in so many ways.
The Lord was with us and having said a prayer from the newspaper I felt the Lord at that time.
Happiness was ours to share that year and it was unlike any other year before or after.
There was a freedom of doing the things we wanted to do and nothing was said against us.
