Written by S.C.Mitchell

Nov 2013.

He bore a crown - but not of diamonds or a golden orb - but
A crown of thorns - sharp - vicious thorns - the KING of all the kings
Agreed to wear - this crown - to show His Sovereign Majesty - a
Crown more costly than the greatest Royal hoarde - a crown of pain -
Of more celestial worth than any other gain - to encompass His Regal
Head and blood-soaked - matted hair - that would fulfill
His purpose - and His Word .

No other king has ever chosen to be robed in purple - stained
With crimson from the blood that flowed from lashes borne
Upon their back - and yet - those very wounds were willingly
Received by this - the Greatest King of all the Universe and
Earth - to bring the healing of the nations - and for you and
Me - if we should care to recognise their value and
Their worth .

Those nails - so similar for driving posts into the hardened
Ground - were banged into the gentlest flesh that could be
Found - to hold Him to a post - a tree - from which He bore the
Curse of Death for you and me - with pain - and yet with joy -
Those nails three - held fast the Only One  -  who could offer full
Salvation  - now and then - for all humanity - and I for one - am
Grateful that He chose to bear such agony -
For me

Thank You dear Lord , that You should deem me worthy  of
such value , that You would pay so high a price to save me
from the grip of Hell - and set me free  .

Forever - I will say - Thank YOU..

Can you say the same  , my friend , for what the Lord has
done for you ?

Many blessings ....and a very Happy THANKSGIVING Day .
