Thankful
I'm thankful for the stars at night
and the sun that shines on me.
The acts of human kindness
and time spent with family.
The knowledge of good people
and the beauty that's inside.
The blessings of the spirit
and the angels that will guide.
Friends that understand me
no matter what I do.
Those there to lend a hand
amid the struggles I go through.
The rain that falls upon the earth
and the lightning in the sky.
The gospel of Jesus Christ
that brings comfort when I cry.
Happy thoughts and memories
and the love that one will send.
The beauty of the stranger,
family member and good friend.
I might not show it very well
but I send a feeling true,
I am thankful every passing day
For the person that's in you.
