Thank You My Friend
I love the way you speak to me
when I am feeling down.
You reassure me that it's alright
and you take away my frown.
You don't judge me daily
nor tell me how I need to be.
You accept me how I am
and never try to change me.
My feelings you understand
because you have felt the same.
You are honest with me
and you never place false blame.
I'm thankful for your kindness,
unconditional love and care.
Whenever I need somebody
you are happy to be there.
I hope I can be there for you
like you have been for me.
You are the best example
of how a friend should be.
