Okay let’s all dance, sit down, I thought we’re
Gonna dance. We are, but first we have to move.
Move, on a chair? Yep, says Royston, lean forwards
Relax, lift your arms, press your palms against the wall.
This is dance- pressing against a wall, bowing my head?
Seems daft to me, but I’ll give it a go. Now move your right
Hand slowly outwards. slip the hand down the wall, raise,
slowly sweep it through your hair, slide the hand upon the bicep
Place your elbow upon your left knee,- seems crazy to me.
But,then , says Royston, place the arm upon the chair back
Slowly stand up, turn around, lie down and roll over.
Slide back under the chair, now all your movements are sinuous,
you’re dancing. Dancing,- still seemed daft to me, but then I sense
between us the movements of dance, synchronized with one another.
From sitting to dancing, now we’re moving, sliding, realizing dance-
That dance is learning how to move, move sinously
from the chair to laying upon the floor, under the chair.
