From birth to death we all shall come
Before the Father and the Son
An end to things that were to be
The just for now, just temporary
My legacy of breath I drew
Upon this earth, of things I knew
Would it be said I gave my all
To some stranger or friend GOD called
In writing this my mind reflects
That in the end of nothing left
There is a life after my tour
Upon this earth that I endured
Thinking pains the mind at times
Of change, of loss, of what was mine
Scratch that, no not of mine
But His who breathed each breath divine
On wretched soul that sought true peace
The soul who thought was thought of least
We found out soon how wrong can judge
Within ourselves, how we begrudge
The simple soul that lives within
The spark of life, our life was given
If someone gave a second thought
Would it be thought I always brought
A smile or two, to change their day
A smile still worn, in them that stayed
In life while I was here and wrote
A few for those, emotions spoke
The best of me that meant but well
Throughout their time of life's dry spells
And so as end will come one day
An end to life where here I played
A role of sorts with love to give
To one besides myself to live
When I am no more
