My home province is in Western Visayas,
i come from Iloilo city
known as the city of love...
we speak Hiligaynon as our native language
the following poem is my first work
using the language which i wrote last year before Christmas.
I provided the english translation.
hope you like it.

Sa likod sang suga

May kasanag, may kapawa

Akon kalag nalipay,

la gid sing angay

ang katawhayan, malinong

akon panghuna-huna nagapasirong
 

sa kasing-kasing sang akon Dios

ang Manunubos na si Hesus,

ang tuod nga suga sang paskwa

Magkari na kag magsimba.

Behind the light,

There’s gleam, there’s brightness,

My spirit is happy,

Like no other,

Still, tranquil

My feelings find refuge

In the heart of my God,

My Savior, Jesus

The true light of Christmas,

Let’s go and worship.
