Across a land of hopelessness
Appears a cross and holiness
Brings new hope to those in need
A place of peace to sow a seed
There where ruin made its home
There where darkness claimed and owned
A soul much yours in dire straits
A light to shine to set things straight
Beneath yourself you drown in sorrow
Today you vain claims sought tomorrow's
Falling short in eyes but yours
But not in His, the one thing sure
He who makes all things now new
He whose blood poured out for you
A second chance to know redemption
Spelled LOVE unlike all yours He mentioned
Your name spoken before your birth
You upon His heart of Heavens worth
All to know if you sought Him
He whose arms stretched out and conquered sin
Your life, waste land of many things
Lived out and drained of all but something
He who lives inside of you
He that calls and reaches to
You in ruins, you who made
A mess of things, you Christ could save
Be free of doubt and know repair
This carpenter your heart could wear
Ruins
