Lyle and Christmastime

I remember so well the season for merriment didn't go unnoticed by Lyle.
He was a cook and a maker of  confections which would blow your mind away.
He had a spirit about himself that was found in the package he'd give.
Lyle had a way with the tins he would use to put his goodies.
I was along with my late dad the recipient of this treat he gave us some years ago.
The thing most memorable was the fruit cake he'd fix.
It was an outstandingly wonderful array of fruits and nuts he'd use.
The taste was out of this world.
Yes, Lyle had a way with fixing something for Christmas.
Thankfully, Ronnie was right there too and we had a ball in our receiving the gifts they gave.
