Christmas and Pine Cones

There doesn't really seem like a connection of the two but there are.
It is from a childhood memory I have of the time I used pine cones.
I decorated the front porch in pine cones though they didn't last long.
Was during the Christmas season I did this and felt it would make a beautiful offering.
However, the wind blew the pine cones off the porch as you knew it would.
I was only about ten years of age when I did this.
There was a sense of decorating for me that was innate and later come to be true.
For it was some years later I had decorated the family Christmas tree.
A great offering of doing the tree and the wreaths I did and the other things made for the season to be a brighter place.
The pine cones didn't have any place for me any more.
It was the pompoms and the artificial fruit I used for the wreaths I made.
There was a sense of joy within  this time of sharing and giving.
The Lord helped me to use the finer things other than the pine cones.
But will always remember them for they were my start on decorating.
