Poetic-Verses

'' Tomorrow It May Not Be There ''

Never try to be what you're not,
Otherwise you could be left feeling distraught,
Inner satisfaction cannot be bought,
Live with compassion and care.

Try to help those in genuine need,
Never become obsessed with greed,
On others misfortune you must never feed,
Just try to do what is fair.

Life is for living don't miss out,
Check the facts if you're ever in doubt,
Belief in yourself, must be devout,
You'll save yourself from despair.

Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind,
By heeding your conscience you'll soon find,
Though you mustn't be afraid to speak your mind,
Of the consequences be aware.

How you live your life is for you to choose,
Yes there'll be times it will confuse,
Sometimes you'll win others you'll lose,
Life can sometimes scare.

There will be those who will try to corrupt,
Don't be shy to them be abrupt,
Tell them your life they will not interrupt,
Your judgement they will not impair.

You'll know when something isn't right,
That's when your fire from within will ignite,
That's the time to put up a fight,
For those occasions you need to prepare.

Seeking revenge creates a large rift,
Not bearing grudges will give you a lift,
Forgiveness is truly a wonderful gift,
Hatred can be hard to bear.

Who you are emanates from within,
The difference between right and wrong is thin,
Stay true to yourself and life's battles you'll win,
Bad influences are what you need to beware.

Treat each living second as if it's your last,
As another one passes it's confined to the past,
Regardless of what you may have amassed,
