Que quieres conmigo? By EDWIN FLORES, www.PoetryPoem.com/poetry2231 Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
Battles mine have taken toll
Resting now of me take hold
Tell me that this war nears end
Whisper thoughts of yours God send
Send for one leaving no doubt
That soon my walk will be about
No more pain but soul set free
Of troubled times so I can breathe
Breathe of air unlike I breathe
Upon this earth and that of me
Yes, one who ails and tires of
This race, mankind, empty of love
The good you gave some won't live for
The bad to worse now comes before
The GOD who saved more than the day
Saved the best for all their days
Stay the course, our race not done
This war about yet to be won
With shield battered my sword now bleeds
Of Blood crimson that intercedes
On my behalf your son would bleed
Today my place to take the lead
Rise again this war will end
Someday my son and too dear friend
Rise and see that I command
Those I chose I saved once damned
This battle wears but I do not
Of trouble yours as some forgot
Wars are but a stepping stone
But victory is yours to own
Stand your ground for soon I'll come
To bring you home and when I'm done
You'll be with me in Paradise
As others have who fought the good fight
Que quieres conmigo, today's question
My answer is each souls redemption
Que quieres conmigo?
