Her arrival in December
Was likened to a Christmas gift.
Wrapped in perfect newborn beauty...
Giving every heart a lift!
She was named Ava Jo-Gracie
Honoring both of her grandmas.
The nursery bedded many babies...
Many precious sucking jaws...
But she absorbed all the attention
From the moment of her birth.
How does one describe an angel?
And just what is an angel worth?
All the gold and all the silver...
Every rare and precious stone...
Are not enough to buy this present
Fashioned at the Father's Throne.
What a privledge.. a blessing!
A miracle from God above!
He reaches deep into the womb
To decorate it with His love.
And just at the precise moment
Conception leaps and life is born...
When once more we are reminded
Of the babe born Christmas morn.
So I welcome little Ava...
My fifth and favored great grandchild.
It has been a great December!
Even the winds of winter smiled!
