A Tree In Sunlight
Cheerfully greets me
In early morning
It smiles as the sun shines through
Green flourishing leaves
It looks strong and sturdy
It has stood for years
Sways and dances in the breeze
The tree is loyal
It stands, protects, and provides shade
To all who come near
Birds fly high up in the branches
Some of the branches crack and fall
The tree is in an area
Where insects crawl, fly, and buzz around it
The branches look like they are aging
The bark is showing signs of age too
A tree in sunlight
Lovely as a summer day.

Trees are sanctuaries. Whoever knows how to speak to them, whoever knows how to listen to them, can learn the truth.
