Footprints in the Snow He visited last night There were footprints in the snow Not just those of boots Or the one with the glowing nose Hundreds of different shaped ones Some really tiny and some of them quite big But somehow their bearers Never cracked a twig They moved around in silence So you they did not wake For the animals and the elves Have a vow they dare not break To make sure they deliver gifts But not rouse you from your sleep In case you feel the need To pop downstairs and peep Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem |
