 My Responses

Lock Box

A wooden chest of memories
that take me back in time

To the dream that once I had
the dream that you'd be mine

The path I walked to find you
nearly killed my very Soul

I had to do so many things
For the chance of you to behold

I used to cry most everyday
because you left me here

With time my heart has mended
and my lesson becomes clear

I was never meant to love you
not the way I wanted to

I've made it all the better
in letting go of you
