Seek the Lord where He may be found, Call on Him while He is near; Then listen closely for the sound, That your heart will cherish so dear. Let the wicked abandon their way, Let the evil abandon their thought; No longer proceeding to stray, No longer is foolishness sought. So let them come back to the Lord, Never letting God be ignored; Because He will freely forgive, And being guilt free as they live. Because my thoughts are not your thoughts, Just like my ways are not your ways; With criticisms and insults, Are heard at night as well as days. As Heaven is higher than earth, And with the sea being so deep; Since my wisdom has much more worth, Than yours because it fell asleep. Rain and snow come down from the sky, As geysers spurt up from the ground; Watering the earth as to cry, Making an inaudible sound. But they make plants and the crops grow, Producing seed for the farmers; As well as food that you will know, Eaten by the fool who murmurs. My word is like the snow and rain, It will achieve wherever it goes; But also will be feeling pain, The same as what our Savior knows. Copyright © 2013 Richard Newton Sherrer Vote for this poem
