PEN AND PAPER
She was not going to be
the maternal mother type
she lacked it from birth
an offspring gone wrong
The fading of fabric
her own unraveling
for historical purposes
she felt like a fraud
Materials became her force
to work at being alive
finding the missing piece
a colossal undertaking
Tragedy lies in every corner
she said, she could not wait
to meet her angel of protection
she daydreamed way too much
Something about her mirror
flickers of light and dark
slapped pretty and ugly
across her own reflection
It's just one big love fest
the search was for nothing
a project overly rehearsed
her offspring reminds her
A passing of an odd girl
with dishwater blonde hair
and an empty room and chair
sleep well, unimportant Princess
