Grandma is ninety three
Mind sharp as tacks
It's the hearing she lacks
Daughter is hurting
She has a bad back
Both are suffering hearing loss
Unheard words back and forth toss
They sit talking in the back
I listen up front to the smack
"Ricky, I think doesn't like his new job!"
The younger daughter sez
"Rickie loves his dog!"
Grandma hearing a mezz.
"Every one at a new job doesn't like it at first!"
Obviously this conversation is not a rehearse
"Yes, but he has had his dog ten years."
SEz Grandma somewhat perplexed--!
"Actually he has only been working a month or so!"
Me I sit in front taking in things as they go.
"He has had that dog since he was a puppy."
"Yes, it is a job for the young yuppie."
"Yes, He travels awful weather in Kentucky."
The driver has to styfle his chuckles
The ride almost over we unbuckle
"My the trip went fast we are almost home."
"It can't be me I didn't bring my phone."
It was hard for me to leave that one alone
I had to separate them can't leave those women a pair
Without an interpreter it was comedy faire
They were about to talk about hairdos and Obama Care.
