If you hear God speak,
Do not be stubborn;
Respond as to seek,
Listen as you learn.
You could fail a test,
Ignoring someday;
By sitting to rest,
Letting your mind stray.
There is time to rest,
And worship exists;
So you do your best,
As trouble persists.
The ones who enter,
Rest from their labor;
But be a mentor,
Maybe a neighbor.
We must make effort,
That the place of rest;
Can give us comfort,
For giving us zest.
Then nothing is lost,
If you do obey;
And free with no cost,
With every day.
His Word is living,
And very active,
It helps forgiving,
All of us who live.
Sharper than any,
Two-edged sword
Cuts deep and many,
Spoken by the Lord.
