Life is much more than a process
Of getting over the next hill.
Age is really just a number
So make it count for all it will.
If Heaven is our destination
It’s simply a continued climb…
And the best thing to remember
We climb one day at a time.
Yes, the body tends to weaken…
It’s destined to get old and frail.
But the core of who we really are
Was designed to never fail.
So spiritually speaking
We must go from strength to strength.
And the life within our years
Should matter much more than the length.
If there is total trust in Jesus…
If we live our lives in Him…
Then we’ll always see what lies ahead
Though our vision may grow dim.
Sometimes bad things will happen…
Often times illness will prey…
But in response to all that happens
We must trust Jesus all the way.
If we give thought to His power…
The depth and breadth of all His love.
We're assured we'll never walk alone...
Because we're sheltered from above.
We are but on a pilgrimage…
We are simply passing through…
But while we’re here we must complete
What God would have us do.
For, indeed, life has a purpose…
It’s been assigned to everyone.
And for us it isn't finished
Until we hear the words "Well done."

Psalm 84:5-7 Blessed is the man whose strength is in You,
Whose heart is set on pilgrimage.
As they pass through the Valley of Baca,
They make it a spring;
The rain also covers it with pools.
They go from strength to strength;
Each one appears before God in Zion. 2nd Corinthians 4: 16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Romans 8:37-39 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Mathew 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
