Eighteen years ago today
Two little babies came this way
One with hair as dark as night
The other`s hair so red and bright
The red head is a bonnie lass
The laddie is top of his class
They have plans that will come true
Determination makes these two
Who they were right from their birth
As years go by they`ll show their worth.
Yes I claim these twins to be
The grandchildren I love to see
Dark eyed Connor loves a lassie
Red head Amy is quite sassy
Talented-oh what a pair
I want them both to know I care
We do not see each other much
Exchanging phone calls-notes and such
But none the less I love them dear
And hope they have a happy year
So my lovelies far away

My wish is that your dreams come true
In all the things you plan and do
Count each second of eighteen
Babies-soon it will have been
Time is such a fickle friend
It goes and leaves us at the end
