We’ve all heard the devil whisper
“Christian, there is just no use...
You’ve fallen one too many times…
This time God’s cooked your goose!”
He’ll set us up…tear us apart!
O, he does play this game well!
He’ll try convincing us we’ve failed
And are on our way to hell!
Lies! Deception! That’s his game!
And he’s such a master at it!
We can’t believe a word he says!
If we do, then, we have had it!
Because we all fall and we all fail!
We have slip-ups and setbacks.
It’s a part of being human…
It’s nothing our commitment lacks.
It’s the reason we need Jesus…
We’d never make it on our own…
But, with Him, we make quite a team
And we’re not buying that brimstone!
So when we feel frustrated…
When the journey seems too much…
Let’s all remember Who is near
And He’s close enough to touch.
Perfection’s not the problem…
For resilience is the clue.
It’s one step at a time and Jesus
Walks with me and you.
Yes, we’ll get hurt and we’ll get bruised
Because we are at war.
But the enemy can’t wear us down
If we know just Whose we are.
So we can’t give in and can’t give up!
We are far from being done!!!
For we’re still learning and still growing
But the battle has been won!!!

2 Thessalonians 3:3
But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen
and protect you from the evil one.
John 8:44
“………………………………………… the devil, does not stand
in the truth because there is no truth in him. Whenever
he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own nature, for he is
a liar and the father of lies.
Ephesians 6:11
Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be
able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.
Romans 8:28-31
And we know that in all things God works for the
good of those who love him, who have been called
according to his purpose. For those God foreknew
he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of
his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many
brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those
he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.
What, then, shall we say in response to this?
If God is for us, who can be against us?
