HIDE AND SEEK

They  thought he was just playing.
just a game of hide and seek -
sneaking out in the dead of night
never a fear and without any fright

Three days they hunted both day and night
everyone volunteered their help in sight
police with dogs sniffed, but nothing found
still they combed every piece of upturned ground

Finally it came to light there was a body found
in a relatives house, but with no sound -
the little child was dead of course...
I hope they can live with their self remorse
                                                                        B...
