Dusk has finally fallen and my love waits for me
As I take my nightly walk down this lonely country lane
I think to myself, he 's not coming, my heart breaks.
And then I feel the cool wind caressing my neck.
I whisper "Hello Darling"
I feel a tingling sensation
as I imagine him softly kissing the back
of my neck. Come lets walk for a while.
As we strole and I speak of the day,
about minor things that make up a day,
I feel a tug at the back of my dress.
I stop and turn around.
Darling you know that I must go.
I put out my hand as if to touch his face.
Then I feel his hands in my hair,
his soft touch lightly touching my body.
Oh my love you know not the ache
that you give with your touch.
I miss you with all that am or ever will be.
I search the space in front of me for some sign.
Then I hear the whisper in my ear,
and it proves to much.
I reach out blindly trying to find some essence of him.
"Darling I can go on as long as I know you are nearby."
