A Reality
The news hit her much harder than that of lightning bold
It rocked her body as though it was subjected to one thousand volts
But what could she do that would have numb her greatest fears
And that very thought made is even so much harder to bear
How in her life for him she had made such a very great sacrifice
Well cannot be sorry now because then it was her choice
Deeply in love as the sail that imaginary sea of love together
And would in the toughest times they would endure any weather
Deep inside then she felt that putting those career plans on hold
May have repercussions as she felt happy as his dreams began to unfold
Lending all the time that support both physically and even spiritually
Now this news not only shocked her but even shook her mentally
There was now this problem that will be posed by her now forced independence
As for most of the times she had depended on him for her financial existence
Then too there will be the effect this may have on the children
What damage will this do especially emotionally and socially on them?
Through her tears she asked him. “What are you doing this to your family?”
You know that this apparent sudden news may cause a type of catastrophe
But how will we survive what is there for us to do?
As you know that in all those time we totally depended on you”
His reply was he does not know by in him he feel a sort of change
But there is no doubt that his will always keep them in his range
I will never cut of my support it will be there for sure as before
That the last thing he said before heading for and through the door
How she slumped into the chair and wept loudly and uncontrollably
Then the children feeling her pain joined in it was so sadly
So exhausted from crying that they all huddled into on heap
And in the morning awoke after having such a very deep sleep
But like most thing the passage of time makes burdens so lighter
And one morning she took such a very long look at herself in the mirror
There she saw the reflection on a woman who possess such beauty
Time to put that past aside and definitely make herself very happy
Then she sat down and this though passed through her mind
There she was wasting away by crying all that time
If he wanted to stay it should not because of what she has done
Not gratitude, guilt it should have been only that should strengthen that bond
