THERE ONCE WAS A VOICE THAT CRIED OUT
CRIED OUT FROM THE WILDERNESS JUST FOR LOVE
FIRST THERE WAS SILENCE, THEN THERE WAS ECHOS...
COMING FROM ONE DIRECTION
HE CHOOSE TO LISTEN TO THE WORDS OF THE
ECHOS TELLING HIM THINGS ABOUT LOVE
THESE VOICES BECAME JUST ONE VOICE AND FACE
HE GREW TO LOVE HER AND CHERISH HER
ABOVE ALL ELSE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD
BUT SOMETHING TROUBLED HIM, HIS MIND BECAME
CAUGHT UP IN A WHIRLWIND OF SORROW
DID SHE REALLY .LOVE HIM AS MUCH AS HE DID HER
THERE WAS NOTHING TO ARGUE ABOUT OR CRY TO
WORDS WERE LOVING AND SHARED WITH KISSES
BUT IN HIS HEART THE DOUBT LAY ED THERE
IN THE DARK RECESS WAITING TO BE AWAKENED
WILL IT BE OR IS THIS JUST A DREAM OF FANTASY
