The Smiling Curse

There is something about
a grin, I guess it is
like gin drink it over
rocks, decide to hide it.

When you have to hold
your ground, without understanding
what that smile is about.
Or life as it is laughing.
I hear it is good to you, to smile more.
I sense that I haven't been here before.

When you put yourself to
smile, to hide all the while.
What made you feel so
down and out, in your
important mouth.

What do you
got to
smile about?
