'' They're No Better Than You ''
You are classed as a junkie if you're down and out,
Never if you're upper class,
The one who is rich can't be classed as a lout,
Even though their behaviour is crass.
No charges made so there'll be no prosecution,
With this decision you may not agree,
A different story if you face destitution,
You would never get off Scot-free.
As a superstar dies his life is acclaimed,
No retribution just sorrow,
Though it's from drug abuse he is not blamed,
Yet for both there is no tomorrow.
Taking heroin, cocaine or smoking weed,
Is confined to those they call scum,
The rich taking drugs they would never concede,
The elite would never be that dumb?
There's no sympathy for those down on their luck,
If truth be told there's no one cares,
Those who think they're better in fantasy they're stuck,
They're bullet proof because they're millionaires.
Heroin, crack, take any drug of your choice,
If rich, from criticism you're immune,
When caught in publicity they tend to rejoice,
Their behaviour one must not lampoon.
Why do we feel sorry for these upper class twats?
Whenever the truth comes to light,
Because of the fact they are just spoiled brats,
Can't possibly make their habit right.
Open your eyes to what are the facts,
Addiction knows no airs or graces,
They are committing the same addictive acts,
It's the truth the rich one defaces.
Don't be overawed by their false faηade,
Here's something on which you can chew,
Though your character they will try to degrade,
The fact is,
' They're No Better Than You '
